Becky works at the Future Cities Catapult as Lead Technologist of the Cities Lab, where she spends most her days developing prototypes around urban challenges. Predominantly a full stack web developer, she loves researching and solving problems using anything from python to Unity to 3D printing. An advocate of agile project management you can often find her running sprints and the daily stand up.
Some of the projects she’s been involved with at Future Cities Catapult include; London 2036 installation (featured in the Big Bang Data exhibition at Somerset House), New User Experiences for Cycling, CITIE, Organicity, and Whereabouts London.
Rebecca has degrees in Computer Science, Bioinformatics & Systems Biology, and Biochemistry – all from Imperial College London. Before joining Future Cities Catapult she worked as a freelance web developer, and prior to that she was Lead Producer in the mobile games industry – working on hit titles including Moshi Monsters: Moshlings and Angry Birds.
She’s passionate about emerging technologies especially robotics, VR/AR/Mixed reality and IoT.
In her spare time she sketches (see her instagram) and plays the piano.
